Rob Phillips spearheads engagement with investors and capital markets partners. He is also responsible for establishing and cultivating strategic relationships in the public and private sector to support key growth
initiatives.

Phillips joined Abacus in 2024 from Nasdaq, where he served as primary liaison to executives and board members of public and private companies, advising them on all aspects of the capital markets. He also managed relationships with strategic partners including investment banks, investment firms, industry groups, and government officials.

Phillips’s extensive capital markets experience includes business development, portfolio management, and institutional sales and trading. Prior to joining Nasdaq in 2011, he headed investor and business
development for an alternative investment advisor. He spent 10 years in institutional trading and brokerage in the United States and Canada and started his exchange career at NYSE.

Phillips graduated from Chaminade High School on Long Island and has an AB in government from Hamilton College and an MBA in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve from 1993 to 1997. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two young-adult children, is a competitive U.S. Masters swimmer, and coaches swimming for the Special Olympics.
